ENGLAND SET NEW GAMES MEDAL MARK

Team England have topped their previous best medal haul at a Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

The previous best mark was 144 medals overall in 1986 in Edinburgh, 52 of which were gold, with 43 silvers and 49 bronze.

England's final medal tally in Manchester was 165 with 54 golds, 51 silvers and 60 bronze.

In this Games they have got 30 medals - six gold, eight silver and 16 bronze.

Wales won 15 medals in Kuala Lumpur - three gold, four silver and eight bronze.

In Manchester they won 31 medals - four gold, 15 silver, 12 bronze.

Northern Ireland won five medals in Kuala Lumpur - two gold, one silver and two bronze.

In Manchester they won five medals again - two gold, two silver and one bronze.
