Hartlepool's Nigel Wright challenges Young Muttley for his English light-welterweight title on March 11.
Fight Skool student Wright is aiming to be the first graduate on the new Sky series when he meets Muttley at the Doncaster Dome.
Wright, 25, excelled as an amateur winning two senior ABA titles and representing England before turning pro under Frank Warren's Sports Network banner.
The hard-hitting north east talent 12-1 (5) is now looking forward to his first exam in the professional ranks.
And Wright has a double incentive against Muttley.
Not only is the English title up for grabs but the fight is also sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control as an eliminator for the British belt current held by Bradford's Junior Witter.
"It's great to hear that the fight will also be an eliminator for the British title but the one I want first is the English crown and I don't want to look too far ahead as mistakes can happen," Said Wright.
"I'm delighted to headline Fight Skool which is ideal for young fighters to showcase their talents and I have the perfect opportunity to show just what I can do."
Muttley, from West Bromwich, is no tomato can however and looks sure to give Wright a real argument.
The 27-year-old has won the Midlands Area, English and WBF Intercontinental titles in his 17-fight career with only one loss and 11 knockouts.
In October of last year Muttley stopped the useful Gavin Down in six rounds, so Wright is under no illusions.
He added, "Muttley is a dangerous fighter but I am confident in my own talent to beat him on the night.
"He's tough but I believe that I can wear him down and will be looking to stop him from the sixth round onwards."
Southpaw stylist Wright has lost just once since turning over in 2001, a hotly-disputed points reverse against Scot Kevin McIntyre in Glasgow.
Doncaster's Jason Rushton features as chief-support on the show when he challenges Harlepool's Lee Armstrong for the Vacant Central Area Light-Middleweight title against.
Fight Skool will also feature the exciting Leicester puncher Martin Concepcion and the highly anticipated professional debut of Nottingham super-middleweight Ricardo Samms.
