David Haye reckons he could not be in better shape as he prepares for his WBA world heavyweight showdown with giant Russian Nikolai Valuev.
Haye is just days away from his date with destiny on November 7 in Nuremburg and is delighted with his preparation.
The Londoner told Sky Sports News: "I feel good. I am not peaking yet, the idea is to peak on the night. I am going through the motions now, just holding a little bit in.
"Every day I get slightly sharper, slightly more accurate, the punches are coming together nicely. I feel like I am in the right place at the moment, 11 days before the fight. I feel like I am in a good place."
Haye has moved up from cruiserweight in his bid for a heavyweight title and feels his punching power has gone up accordingly.
"I am definitely punching harder than ever," he said. "My sparring partners have all said that. They were pretty shocked. They were expecting to spar a cruiserweight, they don't know what I've got at heavyweight, but they all said I am one of the heaviest punchers they have been in the ring with.
"And that was with big 18 ounce gloves on and they are wearing headguards. Put the 10 ounce gloves on, take the headguards away you are going to see the real power."
Haye has made no secret of the fact that he intends to stop the 7ft 2in champion and maintains that his aggressive approach will pay dividends.
Haye added: "He has had 51 fights and never been hurt, never been knocked down so there are a lot of people saying it is a crazy tactic. But if you look at my record, my 21 out of 22 victories have come by knockout.
"It doesn't happen because I go looking for points wins. It means I go out there looking for bombs, looking for his chin, looking to hurt him to the body and head. You are going to get an explosive night on November 7. You have to watch it, it's going to be amazing."
