Andre Berto defends his WBC welterweight title against Steve Forbes on September 27.
The unbeaten Berto stopped Miguel Rodriguez in seven rounds earlier this year to take the title following the shock retirement of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
And now he puts his perfect 22-0 record on the line against former Contender star Forbes on Golden Boy's Mosley/Mayorga bill at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
It's a quick return to the stadium for Forbes, who was comprehensively outpointed there by the much bigger Oscar De La Hoya in May.
But despite being second best Forbes did give Oscar plenty to think about, as the man himself confirmed.
"Andre Berto is getting closer to the top of the boxing charts, but in order to continue his quest he has to beat someone like Steve Forbes," said De La Hoya.
"I can tell you from first hand experience that Forbes is tough and crafty."
Berto meanwhile said: "As always, I will train my hardest as I consider Steve Forbes a talented and tough veteran. Forbes showed the world his boxing talent and his big heart when he lost a hard fought decision to Oscar de la Hoya.
"On September 27, I will successfully defend my WBC title against Forbes and put on a great fight for all my fans."
While Berto will start favourite on the night, Forbes is confident he can score an upset win.
"I think this will be a fight for me to prove what I've always known and that is that I'm an old school throw back fighter who has the abilities to beat anyone. I will become a two-time World Champion on September 27."
