Scott Dann challenges James Obede Toney for the Commonwealth middleweight title on February 10.
The fight, promoted by Chris Sanigar, takes place and The Pavilions in Plymouth and should be a belter.
Dann is 23-2 (16) as a pro and the current British middleweight champion.
However despite home advantage he could be up against it against Accra hardman Obede Toney.
The African has lost just once in 22 fights since turning pro in 2000 and of his 20 wins, 18 have come via the short route.
He won the title last year by decisioning Ayittey Powers, who he dropped and had in trouble in the sixth.
Obed Toney has fought for much of his career in his native Ghana, but his last two fights have been in the US and so he won't be worried about taking on Dann in his own backyard.
'Dynamtime' Dann has bounced back impressively since being destroyed by Howard Eastman in 2003.
He has racked up eight wins since and during that time snapped the unbeaten record of Steve Bendall (who he stopped in six to win the vacant British crown).
Last time out he was a deserving points winner over the useful Wayne Elcock, and with home support the southpaw banger will be hoping to add the Commonwealth title to his growing collection.
