Nottingham's IBF world champion secured the re-match he desperately craved when the bout was announced on January 15.
On Friday it was officially confirmed that the 20,000-capacity venue in the capital would stage the highly anticipated super-fight.
Promoter Eddie Hearn worked tirelessly to bring the fight to the UK after Froch lost a contentious decision on his Danish rival's home turf nearly three years ago.
It had been hoped that a football stadium such as Nottingham Forest's City Ground or Notts County's Meadow Lane may have staged the contest but instead it will take place at the popular Greenwich venue as reported last month.
Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn has described securing the fight as the highlight of his career so far.
"I think it's the biggest feather in my cap as a promoter, bringing a fight like this to the UK," he said.
"I'm proud to have done it and I'm delighted for Carl, because he deserves it.
"He can now avenge that loss and leave a real legacy for British boxing because I believe he's one of the all-time greats and a win against Kessler will put him right up there."
