Manny Pacquiao is still willing to face Floyd Mayweather - but is not prepared to wait for his rival to make a decision about a future fight.

The two superstars are the biggest names in boxing, but repeated attempts to arrange a blockbuster bout have ended in failure, with neither side able to agree terms.

Both fighters have other opponents to think about as Pacquiao will face Chris Algieri on November 23, while Mayweather is preparing for a rematch against Marcos Maidana on September 13.

The Filipino superstar remains open to a showdown with his American rival, although he feels the onus is on the man nicknamed 'Money' to make the clash happen.

"The possibility to fight with him, you know, the question is not for us," Pacquiao said.

"It's for them because any time we are willing to fight, any time. I think that question belongs to them, their camp."

His trainer Freddie Roach has grown tired of the constant stumbling blocks that have prevented the fight, including rows about television networks and blood testing.

"We can't waste our time waiting for him," said Roach. "We've done everything we could to make that fight happen.

"It's like, we're available if he's interested in it, but again we can't sit around waiting for him."

Bob Arum, who promotes Pacquiao, admits that TV companies HBO and Showtime had to "find a way to promote and satisfy both sides from a legal basis", but hoped for a resolution.

"With Showtime and HBO wanting the fight and Manny wanting the fight, there is one little step to take and that's to see where Floyd stands," he said.

The earliest the fight could take place would be late 2015, with Pacquiao already planning a fourth fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, who knocked him out in 2012.

"Hopefully we can put Marquez in with Pacquiao next year," said Arum.
