Manchester United and Chelsea will meet in the last eight if they come through their outstanding fifth-round ties. United host Reading on Monday night, while Chelsea head to Middlesbrough next Wednesday.

City were 5/2 joint favourites with United heading into the weekend but now hold the outright favouritism at 2/1 (Coral, YouWin).

Chelsa are the biggest drifters following the draw, going out 6/1 with 188bet to lift the cup for a fifth time in seven years, slipping behind Everton in the betting, with the Toffees 5/1 with Coral. They face a replay with Oldham for the chance to host Wigan (40/1, 188bet, YouWin).

Millwall (50/1) host Championship rivals Blackburn (50/1) in the other quarter-final contest.

Coral's Tim Reynolds said: "The draw for the quarter-finals of this season's FA Cup has been very favourable to Manchester City, especially as Manchester United and Chelsea have been drawn alongside each other, should both clubs progress past their fifth-round opponents.

"Roberto Mancini's men shouldn't have any problems in overcoming Barnsley and with the league title looking all but over, City can afford to concentrate on lifting the FA Cup."

FA Cup quarter-final draw:
