Our Andy Schooler and Sky Sports' tennis pundit Barry Cowan are providing tips for the US Open every day.

Lleyton Hewitt: Capable of pushing Berdych
Lleyton Hewitt: Capable of pushing Berdych

At Wimbledon, Andy had eight winners from 13 bets at a level-stake profit of more than 23 units, while Barry has landed landed profits at five of the last seven Grand Slam tournaments.

Here are their thoughts ahead of the third day's play at Flushing Meadows:

Andy Schooler,

More than 35.5 games in Tomas Berdych v Lleyton Hewitt at 5/6 (Betfred)

The pick of the first-round games should be competitive. Berdych has been short of his best during the summer hardcourt swing, suffering some disappointing results. Hewitt is nothing if not a fighter as his performances in the Grand Slams show - very rarely is he brushed aside. I can certainly see this going at least four sets and as long as one of them is not a rollover, then this bet should deliver.

Barry Cowan, Sky Sports

Radwanska, Sharapova & Halep all to win 2-0 at 23/20

Lisicki, Petkovic, Wozniacki, Errani & V Williams all to win at 15/8

Kerber, Bencic, Stephens, Jankovic & Safarova all to win at 2/1

Berdych, Lopez, Giraldo, Johnson & Thiem all to win at 9/2

Gulbis, Cilic, Dimitrov, Janowicz & Dancevic all to win at 5/1

  • All Barry's selections are with Sky Bet, who are donating all winnings to the 'Rally For Bally' fund, set up in memory of former British number one Elena Baltacha, who died from liver cancer earlier this year. The money raised by the fund is being split between the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and the Elena Baltacha Academy of Tennis.
