Taghrooda is out to 10/1 for the Arc after suffering defeat for the first time in her career on Thursday.

John Gosden's filly was sent off a 1/5 favourite for the Yorkshire Oaks and things looked to be going according to plan when she cruised to the front under Paul Hanagan.

However, Ryan Moore was soon in pursuit aboard the Aidan O'Brien-trained Tapestry and she proved just too strong after a protracted duel inside the final furlong.

Rory Jiwani of StanJames.com said: "Aidan O'Brien's 8/1 shot Tapestry came home the strongest to upset Taghrooda who lost her unbeaten record.

"John Gosden said the Arc is still the plan for Taghrooda and we pushed her out from 4/1 to 10/1 for Longchamp."

It was another big race win for the Coolmore team after Australia's success on Wednesday.

The winner of the both the Investec Derby and Irish equivalent had little trouble winning the Juddmonte International, but with that race over what's now considered his optimum trip of 10 furlongs he can be backed at 8/1 for the Arc with Ladbrokes.

That means it's the German-trained Sea The Moon who heads the betting for the Longchamp contest at 4/1 generally, with last year's winner Treve next in the betting at 6/1 despite having been absent since she was injured in defeat at Royal Ascot.

Just A Way is alongside Taghrooda at 10/1, while there's growing support for unbeaten filly Avenir Certain at 12/1 generally and as short as 8/1 with Coral.
