Our tip of the day comes from Thirsk where a veteran is a massive price to roll back the years.

There's loads of racing at Goodwood, but the best bet comes at Thirsk

OSTEOPATHIC REMEDY - 340 Thirsk

The totepool Thirsk Summer Cup is a wide-open contest this afternoon and Michael Dods' 10-year-old Osteoptahic Remedy looks well worth an each-way interest at prices around 20/1.

He hasn't won since getting his head in front at Ripon last August, but that was his fourth career win in the eighth month and he's now dropped to his lowest mark for four years.

On eight occasions he's won off marks higher than the 84 he runs off today and the rain that has changed the ground to Good to Soft, Good in places is in his favour too.

He's also won over the course and distance three times and his only bit of decent form this campaign was when he was a one-length fourth at this track from an 8lb higher mark.

A winner of this very race three years ago, Osteopathic Remedy may be getting on but with so much in his favour this afternoon he's worth backing to overcome 17 younger rivals at a tasty price.
