The draw is no bigger than William Hill's 8/15 in the first Test between England and Sri Lanka after a day of toil for the bowlers.

First Joe Root converted his overnight century into his first Test double as England stretched their first innings to 575-9dec before Sri Lanka eased to 140-1 in reply by stumps on day two.

England, who still have a 435-run lead to play with, are a best of 21/10 at Coral and bet365 with an away win now 20s.

A 0-0 draw in the two-match series is now as short as 10/3 with bet365 having been tipped up at 9s by Dave Tickner here on BettingZone.

Kaushal Silva, 62 not out overnight, is 11/8 favourite with Stan James to be Sri Lanka's top batsman in the innings, while his partner Kumar Sangakkara (32no) is 13/8. Mahela Jayawardene is 5/1 with BetVictor.

Sri Lanka are 5/6 with Betfred to score more than 475 in their first innings, and 11/8 with bet365 to get past 520.
