Racing tip of the day

Mutter the four words, Saved By The Bell, and men and women of a certain age are transported back to the early 1990s.

Dustin Diamond: AKA Screech

Saved By The Bell - 4.50 Hamilton

To Zack, Kelly, Lisa, Screech and AC Slater. To high jinx in and out the classroom. Those were the days.

Well they were for Dustin Diamond - who played Screech. His last role of any note was in a leaked "adult tape" it seems. We need to savour the glory days - they are few and far between.

Anyway I digress. Saved By The Bell runs in the Orbiston Handicap at Hamilton this afternoon. He should win too.

On only his second start for David O'Meara the lightly-raced four-year-old finished runner-up in a decent apprentice handicap at Doncaster. This certainly isn't any warmer and from only a pound higher mark he must be a leading player.

Unexposed at the trip, he is one of the very few in the race with any scope for improvement and is preferred to last year's winner A Southside Boy who now needs to defy a career-high mark.
