Olympic Glory showed a fine turn of foot under Frankie Dettori to win the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes at Newbury and Sky Bet have subsequently cut his odds from 8/1 to 5/1 for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Stan James were even more impressed with the manner of his victory and cut him from 8/1 into 3/1.

Olympic Glory's stablemate Toronado is also prominent in the betting for the one-mile Group 1 and is a general 7/2 chance.

William Hill make Olympic Glory and Toronado their 3/1 joint-favourites and spokesman Jon-Ivan Duke said: "Olympic Glory looked different class in the Lockinge but it's unlikely that the owners would send both him and Toronado to the Queen Anne.

"They share favouritism as we head towards Royal Ascot."

Trainer Richard Hannon said: "He's in the Queen Anne and the mile-and-a-quarter race and Toronado's in there as well, but we'll have to see."

Mount Athos was triumphant earlier on the card at Newbury and he is a 20/1 chance with Ladbrokes for the Melbourne Cup at the end of the year.

The drying ground definitely played into the hands of Marco Botti's charge, who is now the 14/1 favourite (from 20/1) for November's contest with Stan James.
