Sergio Ramos' two first-half headers put the La Liga outfit 2-0 up before Cristiano Ronaldo made it 3-0 before the break.

The Portuguese star made it 4-0 with an injury-time free-kick to seal a 5-0 aggregate win and a place in the Champions League final against either Chelsea or fierce local rivals Atletico Madrid.

"It was a very impressive display by Real Madrid as they got the job done very early in the evening. They will be favourites in the final to lift the trophy regardless of who they meet," said Coral's John Hill.

William Hill claimed Real Madrid's victory over Bayern Munich was bad news for them with '61% of all bets' wagered on Carlo Ancelotti's side.

After his side romped to victory, Cristiano Ronaldo is the 6/4 favourite to win the Balon d'Or with Lionel Messi the 2/1 second favourite ahead of Luis Suarez at 10/1.

"Much will depend on the World Cup but at the moment Ronaldo's club form makes him the man to beat for the Balon d'Or," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
