Doldrums - 3.15 Wolverhampton

Doldrums has looked either very good or very bad in her short career to date but it's clear she wasn't at her best when beaten 17 lengths at Lingfield earlier in the month.

Racing with a 6lb penalty for winning over this course and distance in late-January, Mark Johnston's filly struggled to cope with the undulations at the Surrey venue and ultimately trailed home last of six.

However, she had previously won in ready fashion here, her second course victory from just five appearances, and looks worth another chance to defy her revised mark in the Coral App Download From the App Store Handicap.

Johnston's record of being able to swiftly rekindle his horses following a lifeless run is well known and Doldrums, having already shown the ability to bounce back, is fancied to show her true colours once again now dropped in class.

Likely market leader The Blue Dog also has her sights lowered but she doesn't hold any secrets from the assessor and remains 5lb higher in the weights than for her course win last month.

The returning Golden Jubilee was running consistently well when last seen and he could prove the main threat to the selection.
