Manchester City are favourites for the Barclays Premier League after Chelsea could only draw with West Brom last night.

The result means that Chelsea failed to take the opportunity to go four points clear of their title rivals and instead they sit just two points above Arsenal and three points ahead of City, with both in action tonight.

Predictably, the bookmakers were keen to react ahead of Wednesday's games and William Hill pushed Chelsea out to a industry best of 7/4 to be champions. As a consequence, Manchester City regained outright favouritism without kicking a ball and Betfred go top price at 5/4. Arsenal remain 8/1 with Stan James and 888sport.

Towards the foot of the table, Cardiff gained a hard earned point against Aston Villa but it was bad news for Chris Hughton's Norwich as the Canaries edged closer to the relegation zone after a 2-0 defeat at West Ham.

1 Chelsea 57
2 Arsenal 55
3 Man City 54
4 Liverpool 50

Betfred now go 13/8 about Norwich taking the drop into the Championship whereas the Hammers are now out to 8/1 with BetVictor, Ladbrokes and William Hill. Cardiff are 5/6 generally with Villa on offer at 12/1.
