Arsenal are out to 11/2 third favourites for the Premier League title with BetVictor after being held to a 2-2 draw at Southampton on Tuesday night.

The Gunners were 7/2 before their clash at St Mary's, but their failure to win means they could drop to third tonight should Manchester City (11/10, bwin) and Chelsea (5/2, general) win their games in hand.

Liverpool cruised to a 4-0 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby and are now no bigger than 14/1 having been 20s prior to the game.

William Hill cut the Reds to 10/1, with their spokesman Rupert Adams saying: "This could be the day that Liverpool become genuine contenders."

Manchester United beat bottom side Cardiff 2-0 at Old Trafford and are as short as 40s to defend their title, though there is still plenty of 66s around.

Liverpool are now odds-on for a top-four finish, Coral's 10/11 the best price around, with United 11/5 with Ladbrokes, Spurs 5/2 generally and Everton 7/1 in what the layers still see as a four-way fight for one spot (Arsenal remain no bigger than 1/6 despite Tuesday's slip-up).

At the other end of the table, Crystal Palace are now odds-against for relegation with plenty of bookies - 5/4 at Sky Bet, Boylesports and bet365 - after beating Hull to climb to 14th spot with a five-point cushion over the bottom three.

Fulham and Cardiff are odds-on across the board with Sunderland 6/4, West Ham 7/4 (William Hill) and Norwich 4/1 generally.
