Rafael Nadal's first-serve percentage v Roger Federer to be over 68.5 at 5/6
We're down to one singles match per day now and that means plenty of specials are on offer. The bet I like the most is this one at Sky Bet. Nadal has managed to get more than 68.5 per cent of his first serves in play in his last 13 matches against Federer. The Spaniard has always been strong in this department but the reason his figures are so consistently good against the Swiss is that he loves to pummel the Federer backhand. He needs less variety against Federer than some other players and even with his blistered hand I'm happy to go over the set line here. In fact the hand problem could actually work in the bet's favour. Nadal's serve, while very good, has never been his biggest weapon and I feel that if he is struggling with the blister, he'll probably take a little off the serve rather than add more on and try to use his groundstrokes to grind away at Federer. The reason I think the line is so low is because Nadal has been below it in two of his five matches here. Significantly though his last two, when the blister has been at its worst, he's put more than 70 per cent in play.
