Here are their thoughts ahead of Friday's play.

Fabio Fognini to beat Sam Querrey at 8/5 (sportingbet)
The Italian, the higher-ranked of the two players, looks too big here. Querrey's serve is his big weapon but the increasing humidity in Melbourne - thunderstorms are expected late on Friday - will fluff up the balls, slow it down and help his opponent on return. I feel the layers may have read too much into the American's straight-sets win over Ernests Gulbis in the last round - a talented player but one who has plenty of bad days. Either way, Querrey will certainly do well to match his first-serve percentage of 72 per cent in that match. Fognini and Querrey actually played each other in doubles on Thursday with Fognini's team emerging triumphant. A repeat looks the value call.
Other possible bets:
Florian Mayer to beat Jerzy Janowicz at 4/7 - Janowicz's serve has not been at its best and he's struggled through so far. In the slower conditions, in-form Mayer can make him pay.
Barry Cowan, Sky Sports
Williams, Pennetta & Li all to win 2-0 at 9/4
Djokovic & Berdych both to win 3-0 & Anderson & Janowicz both to win at 5/1
Stosur, Zheng Jie, Bouchard, Makarova & Kerber all to win at 12/1
Ferrer, Fognini & Gasquet all to win 3-1 at 85/1
