Flaming Charmer still has jumping issues but did win on heavy ground at Chepstow in November, as did Umberto D'Olivate. Cocacobana has shown ability in both starts over fences and goes well on the surface. He will probably find a race before the end of the season but DECIDING MOMENT won one of these with something to spare over course and distance in October and can shrug off a short absence to score again. He goes well fresh and has the beating of Mister Snowball on the form book. The ex-Irish Captain Ocana may need more time to settle into new surroundings.

PRESUMIDO is upped 5lb for his defeat of Gregori over track and trip in November. The latter went on to land a double so the form looks solid and Simon Dow's charge can go in again. Parisian Pyramid went close at Wolverhampton last time having slipped down the weights and Joyous is another to consider on the back of a short-head defeat over course and distance. Two In The Pink has something to find with the latter on latest running while Spellmaker came good in a Class 7 race at Kempton but will find this tougher drawn out wide.

Both Toby Lerone and Barlow have claims. The former probably frightened himself over the National fences at Aintree last time. CONSIGLIERE won this two years ago off an identical mark. He hasn't shown much so far this season but has dropped in the weights as a consequence and Kieron Edgar's claim makes him a viable option today. Wings Of Smoke is starting to knock on the door again but his stable is going through a lean spell and Jump City gets little respite from the handicapper, though did dead-heat over track and trip in the autumn. Native Gallery and Balzaccio have the past form to figure and can't be ignored.

A Group 3 winner in Brazil, Energia Eros has been allocated a mark of 112 on his debut for the Botti yard. Martin Harley rides but he can't make the weight on stablemate Halfsin, a winner at Kempton last month. A third Botti runner in Grendisar just failed to match Modernstone over track and trip a fortnight ago and that pair are closely matched, while Castilo Del Diablo had a few of these behind when runner-up at Kempton last month and can also figure. Uramazin and Media Hype are others not easily dismissed but a highly competitive handicap can go the way of TEOLAGI, lurking at the bottom of the handicap and expected to appreciate this longer trip.

14.55 Wincanton Bathwick Tyres Poole Handicap Hurdle

With Sandown abandoned, LORD PROTECTOR now looks sure to line-up. He's worth sticking with even though he's been raised 11lb since scoring at the Esher track last month. Philip Hobbs' seven-year-old is lightly-raced and should be capable of further improvement. Maller Tree revelled in the mud at Fakenham on New Year's Day but has more to do here under a penalty. Weather Babe ran a cracker behind Highland Retreat at Kempton and is back over her winning trip but Silsol doesn't look to be one of Paul Nicholls' brighter prospects, though did win on heavy going on the Flat in France. Jumps Road, eased in class, and Ffos Las winner Society Shares aren't without a chance in a tight handicap.

Perfect Pasture won a shade more cosily than the narrow winning-margin would suggest at Kempton last time and is not easily overlooked as he bids for a sixth consecutive victory. Rivellino is upped in class having scored at Wolverhampton last time and William Buick's presence on Whaileyy takes the eye, though the latter is hard to catch right. Equitania has been below par recently but beat Diamond Charlie early last month while Noble Deed has a shout on his second at Ascot in August. CAPONE will have come on for a recent reappearance and the handicapper has given him a chance dropping him a further 4lb. Now back on a winning mark, Mike Attwater's charge gets the nod to add to his tally of five wins on the Polytrack.

15.30 Wincanton Bathwick Tyres Dorchester Novices' Handicap Chase

GLENWOOD PRINCE is a token selection in a race that might not take much winning. He does, at least, have recent winning form on heavy ground and was placed over course and distance in October, admittedly off a lower mark. Mighty Mobb could be the danger as he kept on well over 2m6f at Towcester last month on his chasing debut. He's preferred to Rocky Bender, still beaten 16 lengths when third at Uttoxeter, and the disappointing Jat Punjabi.

15.45 Lingfield Ladbrokes Handicap

Canadian Run scored easily over track and trip on his latest start but that was back in September and he's been raised 9lb. SCOTTISH GLEN has the more recent form having landed a double over course and distance at the end of last year. A hat-trick looks on the cards for Patrick Chamings' charge despite Soaring Spirits pushing him close last time. A dual winner at Kempton, Camachoice needs to find a bit more off his current mark and The Great Gabrial is 6lb higher than when scoring here in November. Naaz was beaten only a length despite finishing fifth over 1m2f recently while the enigmatic Indian Jack has claims on his best form.
