Australia are 8/11 to defeat England in the fifth and final Test Match and complete an Ashes whitewash at Sydney.

David Warner: 7/2 to top score for Australia in final Test
David Warner: 7/2 to top score for Australia in final Test

Needing just 231 to complete victory in the fourth Test at Melbourne, the Australians knocked off the runs with the minimum of fuss to record an eight-wicket victory and set up the possibility of a clean sweep.

With the series score standing at 4-0 in favour of the host nation, the prices for the Sydney Test also reflect the prices for the correct score forecasts for the series.

The Baggy Greens are as short as 8/13 to continue their domination but Betfred are tempting punters in with a standout 8/11.

The layers are keen to get England in their books with 7/2 widely available and bet365 chalking them up at 15/4 to regain a little pride. The draw is as short as 11/4 with StanJames' 7/2 the best price currently available about a stalemate.

David Warner has all but secured the Australian leading batsman gong, but England's is still all to play for with Kevin Pietersen (6/5) shading Alastair Cook (7/2) with Ian Bell next best at 6/1.

Warner can be backed at a general 7/2 to top score for his side in the final Test with his captain, Michael Clarke, heading that market at a general 3/1 while Pietersen and Cook are both half a point longer for the tourists.

It will come as no surprise that Mitchell Johnson heads the Australian bowlers' betting at 2/1, while Stuart Broad is 12/5 to see off 13/5 chance Jimmy Anderson for England.
