Centuries from captain Michael Clarke and vice-captain Brad Haddin propelled Australia to 570/9dec, and there was still time for Mitchell Johnson to remove Alastair Cook before stumps.

England are right out to 33/1 with Stan James, while it's 13/10 that the tourists manage to escape with a draw.

Michael Carberry and new number three Joe Root showed some fight to reach stumps on a total of 35/1, and they're now 3/1 and 7/2 respectively in a top-batsman market headed by Kevin Pietersen, 3/1 with BetVictor but shorter everywhere else.

Root and Carberry are both 5/6 to be next man out, while Johnson is 15/8 to be Australia's leading wicket-taker in England's first innings with BetVictor.

Australia have been trimmed for series victory and are now on offer at 4/11 generally, with England out to 15/2 with bet365. Ladbrokes go 9/2 the draw.
