England are marginal favourites at 6/4 generally, with Australia 19/10 and the draw a 5/2 chance with BetVictor after Australia made 273/8 in ideal batting conditions.
England touched 4/6 after Stuart Broad (5/65) helped reduce the hosts to 132/6 in the afternoon session, but Brad Haddin (78no) and Mitchell Johnson (64) added 114 for the seventh wicket to bring Australia back into the game.
Broad was the star of the day, though, and England are now 5/6 with Ladbrokes to win the series.
England will be hopeful of quickly picking up the last two Aussie wickets and setting about getting up to and past their hosts' total. Captain Alastair Cook is 7/2 to be his team's leading runscorer in the first innings, and 9/2 to make a century with William Hill.
Ryan Harris is 5/2 to be Australia's leading wicket-taker when England bat, while those who think the mercurial Johnson will follow up his impressive batting with the ball can get 6/1 that he matches Broad's five-wicket haul with Sky Bet.
