DOUBLE: Emjayem and Dawn Calling.

Ed McMahon appears to have found Emjayem the perfect opportunity to complete a hat-trick in the BBC Radio Bristol Handicap at Bath.

A moderate fourth on his racecourse introduction on the Wolverhampton all-weather in April, the three-year-old gelding stepped up massively at the second time of asking to spring a 25-1 surprise on his turf debut at Windsor.

Any thoughts that victory may have been a fluke were blown out of the water as Emjayem comfortably made every yard of the running over this course and distance and a subsequent 5lb rise in the weights is perfectly reasonable.

With Richard Hughes booked for the ride, he will not lack any assistance from the saddle and he should be very hard to beat.

It could well be a good afternoon for the title-chasing jockey in Somerset, as he is also fancied to strike gold on the Richard Hannon-trained Rising Dawn in the Seddon Nursery Handicap.

It is fair to say the son of Dark Angel is not one of Hannon's more precocious juveniles, in fact, he looked decidedly ordinary early in the season.

He was well held in maidens at Sandown and Kempton, but fared a good deal better when second on his nursery debut at Windsor in August.

Rising Dawn ran creditably again on his next start back at Sandown and then finally got off the mark at the sixth attempt in good style at Chepstow.

Given he was doing all his best work at the finish in Wales, this step up to a mile and a quarter could well help him take his game to another level.

Middleham maestro Mark Johnston loves a winner in his native Scotland and his Dawn Calling rates the best bet at Hamilton as he goes in the Download At Free Bets App freebets.co.uk Handicap.

Placed at Ripon and Kempton on his first couple of appearances, the Shamardal colt made it third time lucky with an eight-length demolition of an admittedly poor-looking bunch at Catterick.

He kicks off life in handicap company off a mark of 78 and that could prove lenient, with the drop to six furlongs not expected to be an issue.

Earlier on the card, Nigel Tinkler's Henke gets the vote in a Freebets At freebets.co.uk Auction Nursery Handicap which will not take much winning.

The youngster shaped with promise in his first three maiden outings and also ran with credit on his recent nursery bow at Carlisle.

He faces a slightly less demanding six furlongs on his latest assignment and will not need to improve much to get his head in front for the first time.

Nigel Twiston-Davies is invariably the man to follow when the National Hunt season is finding its feet and the Naunton handler is fancied to find the target in the opening event at Newton Abbot.

Oscar Magic was considered good enough to run in the Champion Bumper a couple of years ago and enjoyed a consistent, if largely frustrating, debut season over hurdles.

After hitting the crossbar three times, the six-year-old deservedly found the number one spot in a novice handicap at Haydock at the end of March and as he is still eligible, he sticks to novice company in the Happy Birthday Mum "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle.

He is already rated 129, which may be good enough, but the prospect of further progress means he rates banker material.
