Stormadal - 2.35 Newmarket

Right it's time to end the losing streak with my selections in this feature - although the last two were each-way and finished second - but no, that's the end of excuses.

Stormadal is the colt to carry the weight of my expectations - and money - in the Ebm-Papst Nursery at Newmarket. Go on my son.

Admittedly this is a warm little heat and you can make very solid cases for Newmarket Warrior, second when well backed on his handicap debut at Yarmouth, and top weight Safety Check.

But I'm a Stormadal man. He shaped with great promise on his first two starts and then sluiced home upped to a mile for the first time at Carlisle. He is bred to improve with age and Neil Callan's mount will rate higher than 88 at some stage of his career. Hopefully the process starts this afternoon.
