The Black Cats are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League in the early weeks with just one point from five games - enough to see the club part company with Di Canio on Sunday night.

Sky Bet and BetVictor make Di Matteo their 4/7 favourite with Gus Poyet next in the market and the latter go 8/1 - Sky Bet make him half those odds.

Alex McLeish is 12/1 with BetVictor but the Scot is just 5/1 at Sky Bet while ex-Stoke boss Tony Pulis can be backed currently at 12s at BetVictor.

Kevin Ball will lead the team in the short term and he is an 8/1 chance at Sky Bet to get the role permanently - BetVictor are less convinced and make him 33/1.

That is the price on Ole Gunnar Solksjaer with the latter firm.
