Bayern Munich celebrate Arjen Robben's winner at Wembley.

Arjen Robben struck late to secure the victory which keeps Bayern on course for a treble, with Stuttgart waiting in the DFB Pokal final next weekend, leaving incoming manager Pep Guardiola with some big boots to fill as Jupp Heynckes bows out on a high.

The German champions, who started their run at 12/1 with Sky Bet to lift the trophy and were matched at 18 on Betfair, are now joint favourites with Barcelona for next season's Champions League with Ladbrokes.

The top two are followed by Real Madrid (6/1 with BetVictor and Ladbrokes) and then English trio Manchester United (11/1 with Ladbrokes and William Hill), Manchester City (12/1 with BetVictor and 188bet) and Chelsea (14/1 with Coral and 188bet).

Sky Bet football trader Chris Spicer said: "With Guardiola on his way along with one of football's hottest prospects Mario Gotze, Bayern are going to be the team to beat next season.

"However, we've seen so many quality sides fail to live up to the expectation of retaining Europe's top-tier title, with not even the great Barca side managing it, while transfer dealings could impact the market with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid looking to rebuild under new managers."

William Hill declared the result as bad news for the bookies.

"Robben was the third best backed player on the first goalscorer market, while Bayern have been the best backed side in the Champions League all season," said their Joe Crilly. "This is a huge result for the punters."

bet365's Steve Freeth eched those sentiments, saying: "We had huge liabilities on Bayern Munich both ante-post and in 90 minutes and with our free in-play bet offer on top it proved to be a very expensive night for us."

Despite all the talk of Germany being set for European domination after the all-German final, bet365 make a Spanish winner most likely next season.

They beat 7/4 about a Spanish success with Germany (11/4) also behind England (5/2) in the market.

Hill's make Bayern hero Robben 4/7 to leave the club this summer and Manchester City are favourites for his signature - Sky Bet will give you 4/1 that he moves to the Etihad in the forthcoming transfer window.

Meanwhile, Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski is 4/7 with Hill's to make the move to Bayern this summer. BetVictor will give you 4/1 that he signs for Manchester United, who have long been linked with the Polish striker.
