Mallory Burdette: Can see off young gun Vekic

Here are their thoughts on ahead of Sunday's opening day.

Andy Schooler, sportinglife.com

Mallory Burdette to beat Donna Vekic 2-0 at 7/4 (888sport)

Teenager Vekic, coached by Briton David Felgate, is undoubtedly a star of the future but she's played almost entirely on hardcourts of late and a look through her record shows few victories on the red stuff. Here she's up against someone more at home on the surface. Burdette beat Petra Martic and Madison Keys in Rome, while Sabine Lisicki was among her victims in Charleston. The 7/4 about a straight-sets win looks worth taking.

Barry Cowan, Sky Sports

Rafael Nadal & Serena Williams to win the singles titles at 5/2

Rafael Nadal to beat Roger Federer in the men's final at 3/1

Serena Williams to beat Maria Sharapova in women's final at 3/1

Nadal is my favourite and the way the draw has mapped out I'll go with Federer to reach the final, but I really cannot see anything but a comfortable Nadal victory if they do meet.

Simon, Granollers, Ivanovic and Cirstea all to win at 100/30

Ivanovic and Cirstea both to win 2-0 at 4/1

Simon and Granollers both to win 3-1 at 15/1
