The reigning champion hurdler, who also won the Cheltenham Festival race in 2011, was a comfortable winner over Thousand Stars in the Rabobank Champion Hurdle on Friday.
Bookies duly cut the horse for another win at Prestbury Park next March with Boylesports particularly impressed and going 5/2 from 4/1.
Ladbrokes and Coral also made Hurricane Fly their clear favourite for next year's Champion Hurdle as a result of his performance, while Stan James - a standout 6/1 prior to the race - went into 9/2.
However, several firms, including William Hill and Paddy Power, were prepared to stand firm with 5/1 quotes.
Triumph Hurdle winner Our Conor is also widely offered at 5s. He had been due to run at Punchestown on Saturday but has been withdrawn due to the heavy ground.
Sky Bet went up with 11/2 about Hurricane Fly immediately following the race but were soon into 9/2.
Their Michael Shinners said: "Hurricane Fly was very impressive in dispatching his field with ease.
"Next year's race looks an absolute cracker already with the likes of Our Conor, My Tent Or Yours and The New One and, although impressed, we wouldn't mind laying a bit at 9/2."
Rory Jiwani, of Stan James, added: "While conditions were very much in his favour, Hurricane Fly still had to beat a good field and he did so with aplomb.
"The stats will tell you 10-year-olds don't win Champion Hurdles, but Hurricane Fly has shown himself to be the best hurdler of his generation and it will take something very special to stop him retaining his crown."
