Bale grabbed the world's attention when he tore Inter apart in the Champions League two years and four months ago - and he headed home the opener on Thursday night as they notched an impressive 3-0 victory over the Italians.
Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jan Vertonghen also scored as Spurs put one foot in the last eight - and they're now a best of 7/2 at the top of the market.
Chelsea started the day that price but they've drifted to a best of 11/2 after a lacklustre 1-0 defeat by Steaua Bucharest at the National Arena.
Last season's Champions League winners conceded on 34 minutes when Ryan Bertrand was penalised for pulling back Raul Rusescu, who converted the spot-kick.
The result in the Romanian capital will only serve to increase the pressure on interim manager Rafael Benitez, who is 8/13 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.
The third remaining Premier League team in the competition, Newcastle, are a 22/1 chance (Coral) after a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Anzhi Makhachkala, who are rated 10/1 shots, in Moscow.
Tottenham are 3/1 favourites to lift the trophy with Sky Bet and the firm go 6/4 that they reach the final.
Football trader Chris Spicer said: "Tottenham are in the most comfortable position of all the remaining teams and Andre Villas-Boas looks to be taking the Europa League very seriously, and rightly so.
"It hasn't hampered their Premier League form in the slightest and we go 6/5 that they grab third place and 1/4 on that they secure another top four finish."
