Ian Millward: Fancies Wigan and Huddersfield

We go into the Catalan game with everybody at the club available for selection, apart from Rangi Chase who is suspended. I've got some difficult selection decisions to make. Catalans are very physical, in fact they push the boundaries, and we are in for a tough test. But we are improving and from what I've seen in training this week there's no reason why we can't get a result like we did against Leeds.

Here are my thoughts on the other games this weekend:

Sunday, February 24, Super League XVIII

Wigan v London Broncos (+28)

Wigan normally hit back very well after a loss and if Sam Tomkins is back they could cover this start with ease. London were very disappointing at home to Wakefield last week, not even scoring a point and they had some of their better players, the likes of Craig Gower, back. Wigan will win this and if they put their foot to the pedal they will cover.

Verdict: Wigan to win and cover.

Wakefield (+8) v Huddersfield

The Wildcats have been very impressive in recent weeks but the Giants are flying high with three wins from three and they can win and cover here. Huddersfield have got a very good record against Wakefield, winning six of their last seven. The Giants forward pack has been receiving great admiration for their go forward and if they can dominate in those areas again they can win and cover.

Verdict: Huddersfield to win and cover.

Salford (+16) v Hull KR

My first thought was 'that's a big start for Salford' and Hull KR will do well to cover it. Darrell Griffin is in the squad for Salford after his loan move from Leeds while Stephen Wild is also back and you have to expect some improvement from the City Reds. They have been leaking over 40 points a game and they aren't scoring enough. It's not a good mix. Therefore, I think Hull KR will win the game, but the start could be just beyond on them.

Verdict: Salford with the start.

Handicaps in brackets are those offered by Sky Bet.
