Hicham El Guerrouj cruised into the Sunday's final of the 5,000 metres at the World Championships.

Already the winner of the 1,500 metres in Paris, El Guerrouj showed no ill effects from that as he eased through his heat.

The final is shaping up to be a classic with Ethiopia's Kenenisa Bekele - winner of the 10,000 metres title - and defending champion Richard Limo both in opposition.
