Andy Turner just missed out on a place in the final of the 110m hurdles at the World Championships in Osaka.
Turner, who became the third fastest Briton of all time in Wednesday's first round, finished third in his semi-final, missing out on one of the fastest-loser spots by just 0.05secs.
Drawn between world record holder Xiang Liu, of China, and Cuban star Dayron Robles, Turner produced a decent performance but crossed the line in 13.38secs, slighly slower than his 13.27 set in the first round. Robles won the race in 13.21.
Ladji Doucouré, the French defending champion, bowed out in the second semi finishing won impressively by US title holder Terrence Trammell in 13.23.
The winner of the opening semi, American David Payne, was the fastest qualifier in 13.19.
