Doucoure held off the fast-finishing Olympic champion Liu Xiang to win the title by just one-hundreth of a second.
Doucoure's dip was just enough to take the gold in what was an extremely tight finish in 13.07 seconds.
American Allen Johnson, who was seeking a record fifth world title, took bronze in 13.10.
