Richardson - avoids the US at the changeover.
RICHARDSON KEEN TO BOUNCE BACK

Britain's last hope of a medal - and it was a very slim one - ended when the
men's 4x400m relay team, who have enjoyed great success at previous
championships, were beaten into sixth place.
The quartet of Iwan Thomas, Jamie Baulch, Tim Benjamin - all Welsh - and
Mark Richardson came home in 3:01.26 as the United States comfortably
triumphed in 2:57.54.
The Bahamas quartet snatched the silver from their close rivals Jamaica by
just 0.2secs with a time of 2:58.19.
Richardson revealed more injury woe on his behalf after the race which saw
him bump into an American as he took off on the last leg.
He said he had hurt his Achilles once more and that he now faced a likely
hernia operation as well.
"I'm just want to get my body right and do a winter's training.
Having the
Commonwealth Games and European Championships to look forward to is nice."
