Ivan Tikhon took gold in the men's hammer at the European Championships on Saturday to complete a fine day for Belarus.
Tikhon's victory came hot on the heels of Natalia Khoroneko's win in the women's shot.
The reigning world champion sent the hammer soaring out to 81.11m in the third round.
The closest anyone came to bettering that effort came in the following round when Olli-Pekka Karjalainen threw 80.84.
However, he almost snatched the gold in the final round. His effort looked to have gone past Tikhon's mark but his foot had just gone outside of the circle and it was deemed a foul.
His legal effort proved good enough for silver with Vadim Devyatovski, another Belarussian, winning the bronze.
