The dominant figure in men's discus, Virgilijus Alekna, added the only title to have previously eluded him in Gothenburg on Saturday.
Unbeaten since August 2005, the Lithuanian's first-round throw of 68.67m was enough for him to win the European Championship for the first time and he is now the world, Olympic and European title holder.
The competition was dominated by athletes from the Baltic states.
Gerd Kanter, of Estonia, was the only man to get anywhere near Alekna's mark, sending the discus out to 68.03 in thre third round.
His team-mate Aleksander Tammert won the bronze with a best effort of 66.14.
